How can we stop increasing the growing amount of garbage our consumption society produces? Can we shop less stuff? Can we re-use more?
Freecycle is a non-profit network represented in nearly 5000 cities with more than 7.000.000 members around the world. The principle is that if a member has something he or she no longer wants to keep posts an ”ad” about it on Freecycle. If somebody reading the ad wants it they get in contact with the ad poster who chooses which person they want to give the thing to and gets back to that person with information about when and where it can be picked up. Everything has to be free, no money or return favors can be involved. Freecycle will soon start in Karlskrona. It’s now also available in a mobile version, see Mobile Freecycle.
